Drink review: Hello Kitty Pomegranate Tea

The other half went to the local convenience store last night as we had ran out of sugar. I asked her to pick me up something random and this is what was brought...

Instantly my first thought was "this is a children's drink!" and I wasn't going to drink it. Until I thought this could work in my favour and I'll use this as my first review.

Seeing as the can was only 250 ml (the same size as Red Bull) there wasn't much room to review. But then again it is a drink so what am I expecting, a water fountain?

As seemingly typical of a local convenience store the product has been imported, so I doubt many would be aware of this product. (Please let me know if you disagree though!) So again I wasn't expecting much in way of product value based on that fact either or maybe I'm being overly critical. 

The first sip to me tasted like the drink was out of date or had been stored in a humid environment and the drink has since cooled. However continuing to take more sips and asking where the drink was stored in the convenience store, I came to the conclusion that the drink is meant to taste this way. It's also worth mentioning that despite the name of the drink stating the flavour is pomegranate tea, I failed to identify this. To me the flavour was cranberry and that's all I can say on that matter.

I would comment on the colour of the drink but I drank straight from the can.

The texture and thickness of the drink was around average, but more towards diluted for both.

Overall, if you're wanting a drink and want to try something new then don't be put off by me.

Taste: Does not taste anything like pomegranate nor any of the listed ingredients. A more accurate description would be cranberry.
Hydration: Not even if I were to drink five cans straight after each other.
Packaging: A drinks can is a drinks can. The design of the can is what you'd expect from a Hello Kitty product.
Price: 99p
Recommendation: Steer clear.
