From E3 2015, I complied a list of games that I found interesting [you can view it here]. As it's been 3 years since, I thought it'd be interesting to see what's happened with those games (wherever I have purchased them or if they've been released etc).
Unravel
With the second Unravel being announced (and released on the same day), I still haven't purchased the first one. I was (read: still am) interested in the gameplay and idea of the game as a whole. But in the three years since being announced, I have continued to build my PS1/PS2/PS3 collection. So PS4 digital titles have taken a drastic last thought. Perhaps it will be a PS Plus title in the next few months?
MirrorsEdge Catalyst
After this was announced, I threw myself into playing the first outing on PS3. Annoyingly, I was stuck on the VERY last section for a good few months. So decided that I would put off buying Catalyst for a while. Also, as mentioned above, the previous generations have taken a priority. Maybe I'll pick this up in the next few months as well depending on what price I can find. After all, this one does have a physical disc and around £6 on a quick eBay search.
For Honor
This game really interested me at first due to the Vikings. But, I'll keep update short - mainly due to the negative things I've heard and read about the game following release. So unless things have since improved and if the servers (and microtransactions) have improved, I might pick this up. But will probably be after Unravel.
The Division
I put off getting this game until February this year. I only brought it due to a colleague suggesting it - else I would have waited longer. But with the announcement of a second one, I'm glad I didn't. I was going to wait longer due to the promise of "content for years to come". While it has had regular "global events", that's not quite what I had in mind with "content for years to come." (Side note: Much like Destiny had the same promise but they released a whole new second one.) That aside, I played a majority of The Division solo, matchmaking a couple of missions that I was stuck on. Additionally, the end game was disappointing. It will be interesting to see how Ubi carries (if they do) data from the first to the sequel.
TrackMania Turbo
I brought this in July 2016, four months after it was released. While I still boot it up now again, for me the replayability has decreased overtime. This is mainly due to I'm stuck on the current tracks I have unlocked, I'm able to complete the bronze time but not progress them to either silver or gold. So the next tier of tracks are not getting a look in. I've also played this in PS VR, but motionsickness soon took over. I'll give the game credit though, I love the community created tracks.
GhostRecon Wildlands
I'm a huge fan of the Tom Clancy games (and books), but various factors means I haven't got round to picking this up. Maybe I should make it my mission to pick this and MirrorsEdge Catalyst at the same time? Funnily enough, GhostRecon Wildlands is the one game on this list which I know next-to-little about. So when I do manage to pick it up, I'll be able to play it with an openmind!
Uncharted 4: A Thief's End
I'll admit it off the bat, I'm not a huge Uncharted fan. I've only played two and three (in 2012 and 2014 respectively). So when four was announced in 2015, I cannot recall why I noted it down as something of an interest. Enough now in 2018 having see several gameplay videos and several glowing reviews about it, I'm still not convinced I'll enjoy the fourth outing of Mr Drake and co. If I see it going for an okay price, who knows?
Dreams
It's been three years since this was announced?! I still know nothing about this. I'm beginning to think we'll have a release date for Death Stranding before we have a release date for Dreams. We'll see if Sony gives us any further details this year....
Horizon Zero Dawn
I've heard and seen nothing but good things about HZD since it's been released. Luckily I know nothing about the games plot. So when I manage to pick this up (yep, along with those mentioned above) I'll be in for a treat. As I don't want to repeat myself too much, I'll leave it there for HZD.
Firewatch
I could more-or-less copy and paste what I have written for Unravel here. Again, haven't picked it up (*cough* downloaded *cough*) yet due to being digital only. But in the same fashion as GhostRecon Wildlands, I do not know much about this title plot wise. Which is a good thing due to Firewatch being heavily story driven. But seeing as I watch a lot of list feature videos on YouTube (Hi! Playstation Access, Outside Xbox and Outside Xtra) I should get this soon as not to encounter spoilers. (But saying that, PA, OX and OX are good are advising before spoilers are discussed).
Hitman
You will see in the post above (but in case you don't want to scroll back [here]) that I would wait until I saw more gameplay. But I never saw more gameplay. I lost interest due to the episodic aspects. But that's not to say it's a good game, it might actually be great. Glad to see their's a second which I think does not have the episodic aspects. But the first isn't for me.
Summary:
Total games from 2015: 11
Total games I've played: 2
Total games not released: 1
Total games I'm no longer interested in: 1
Total games I'm still interested in: 7

Battlefield: Bad Company 1 & 2
Over the last two weeks, I have been playing (and completed) the titles stated in the title of this post. While I've known of their existence for a while, I've always overlooked picking them up. But that changed after seeing them featured in an outsidexbox (or was it Outside Xtra?!) YouTube video. I always thought they were standard run of the mill FPS.
While that is true for 90% of time for both titles, I was more interested in the humour side as stated in the OX video. For me, this was a refreshing take on military FPS titles which are all "HOOAH!" While the humour involved wasn't side-splitting, it was sarcastic in nature - something that I love.
Unfortunately, both titles do have several downfalls for which I cannot fault them for too much. Especially seeing as many titles of that generation have also been subjected to the same. They include, but not limited to: glitches, delayed input response, shallow storyline and poor graphics in places.
Despite this I found myself wanting to consume the titles as quickly as possible. There was just something that kept making me want to play them in as few plays as possible. I believe it was the sarcastic nature of the titles as a whole, but also the four main characters. I would try to pick my favourite out of the four, but that would feel as if I was betraying the other three who didn't get top picking. All four had quickly felt similar and I was a fifth member of the group.
That being said, I'm going to miss Marlowe, Sweetwater, Haggard and Redford. But I really hope we get a third and final title to the series.
